ABOUT THE PROJECT
Better Bones - Statistical Dashboard Application (Prototype)
Better Bones is a lifestyle and habit-forming Statistical Dashboard Application that helps people with or at risk of Osteoporosis or Osteopenia monitor and improve their bone health. Developed through a user-centred, research-driven approach with patients (Osteoporosis diagnosed), a preventive participant (family history), and a practitioner (exercise physiologist), it addresses motivation gaps caused by infrequent DEXA scans, unclear results, and fear of injury. The prototype provides personalised dashboards, progress tracking, and educational resources, using positive language and emotionally safe visualisations to make complex medical data actionable and engaging.
